A long-time poet and member of the Squaw Valley Community of Writers , Lisa has been fortunate to work with the celebrated writers Sharon Olds, Galway Kinnell, Lucile Clifton, and Bob Hass. She has received fellowships to write at Casa Don Miguel in Patzcuaro, Mexico , and at Hambidge Art Center in the northeastern Appalachians of Georgia. Her poetry collection, Vintage (Native Press), follows the growing seasons on Tiger Mountain Vineyards where she is 6th generation on a family farm and worked as a wine grower and maker until 2022. She has also contributed to the Pulitzer-nominated Appalachian Adventure: From Georgia to Maine, sharing her experience walking the Appalachian Trail with journalists and photographers from the Southeast. She has published in a wide variety of literary journals and anthologies, including Appalachian Heritage, The Squaw Valley Review, From the Web: A Global Anthology of Women’s Political Poetry, Mountains Piled Upon Mountains: Appalachian Nature Writing in the Anthropocene, Wild Goose, and Exit 271: Your Georgia Writer’s Resource.
