Tiger Mountain Vineyards

Lisa Ezzard is a 6th generation farmer at Tiger Mountain Vineyards in the northeastern Appalachians of Georgia, where she has embraced the art of wine growing and making under the guidance of her father, Dr. John Ezzard, a pioneer in fine winemaking for the region. Her role as a vintner has included: growing six red varietals - Malbec, Cabernet Franc, Touriga Nacional, Tannat, Mourvèdre, and the indigenous Norton or Cynthiana, and two white varietals - Viognier and Petit Manseng - on 10 acres of vineyards; crushing, pressing, fermenting, barrel aging, filtering, and bottling wines; orchestrating vibrant seasonal events like the Awakening of the Vines, where wine club members and musicians celebrate the vineyard’s rebirth; and harvest parties that bring the community together to pick and toast the new vintage. At Tiger Mountain’s historic Red Barn Café, she also managed food and wine pairings, hosted live music, and organized picturesque weddings amidst the vines.
